Welcome to these pages which are a collection of various websites that all have one thing in common: they were created by the Big Old Raven.. ;)
Look around and find out in which corner of the weird realms of corax.com you'd like to stay....
Doubtlessly the biggest and most important site on corax.com, covering the Raven's
fascination with those peculiar 78 cards of Tarot. The Tarot site offers a good look
inside the subject, dealing with the basics of the Tarot,
the Tree of Life in Qabalistic Tarot, the worlds
and souls of the Kaballah (Qabala) , the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana and about
Tarot reading in general. There also is an extended section of genuine Tarot Spreads and the chance to lay out several
spreads on the computer screen.
Further, the site gives a good look to the Seven
Hermetic Principles and their relation to the Tarot. The latest addition to the site
is an extended view on the Elemental
Dignities influencing Tarot cards and of course a thorough look on the
classic elements themselfes. Further,
the classical planets have a new, enhanced section on
the site.
New: As the latest addition, the Tarot Site has an extended section dealing with the Tarocchi di Mantegna - or Mantegna Tarot - particularly with a copy of the E-Series, engraved by Johann Ladenspelder and colored by Raven. The section belnds into the new Tarot History part, which particularly deals with the Renaissance.
This special section gives interpretations of all 78 Tarot cards, the 22 trumps of the Major Arcana and the Court Cards and Numbered Cards of the Minor Arcana. It also explores the Suits of Tarot - the Wands, the Swords, the Cups and the Disks.
Music is another love of the Raven and therefore you'll find quite a few music related sites on corax.com. First of all the tribute to the late, great blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan:
The great blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan is yet unrivalled und will never be forgotten. The site remembers some articles and images and asks the user to just spare a thought for Stevie Ray.
As a subsection to the Blues Site you'll find a page about Ali Farka Toure from Mali, little known but still a guitarist that you won't forget once you've heard him.
The Freddie Mercury site is a silent walk through visual thoughts and memories, a tribute of no words but imagery only. It might not be your usual Queen site but for me it was the only way to memorize Freddie in an appropriate manner.
This is a collection of my favorite books on corax.com. It includes various writings of Bertrand Russell, a complete rendition of Andrew Dickson White's great 'History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Christendom' from 1896, novels of H.G. Wells, the complete Sherlock Holmes and more.
Now this is the Raven's 'homepage' - yuk what nonsense, when the whole of corax is the homepage - but anyway, it is the 'personal' page of that corvidophile mad hatter standing or rather sitting behind this domain.
The Corvidae Page has a music section where you can find pages for Bessie Smith and Esma Redzepova.
And - the old bird's guilty pleasure - there is one goodie for Bonanza fans, attempting to create a Historical Timeline for Bonanza - albeit only for the socalled Adam years... ;)
Just in case someone is mad enough to want websites such as this..
Have a look at the Raven's portfolio and you can figure out what you might be up to.
Enter at own risk..
There will be more pages coming as soon as I have added them to the realm..
