Logic - later dialectic - was the art of using logic in debate, regarded as a valuable teaching method as argument and debate were seen as a learning process. Public debate between masters or professors were standard practice during the Medievals, as they had been in ancient Greece. Masters proving superior logic and debating skills could win a large following of students who were eager to learn from them. Students also sharpened their skills in endless debates among themselves.
Loica is shown holding a veiled dragon, straying a bit from her usual depiction of holding a snake to symbolize the wiry slippery of arguments.
