Raws are done with burnt siena or umber only, and somehow they are 'naked' faces, without colors and stuff and all around.

In the beginning, I always started portraits out of the colors, just later I started with raw drawings, guess the first ones I did that way were those from the Harlekin series. Quite a thing, for I never was the best drawer, and I still cannot draw with pencils or chalks. My 'drawings' were all done with brushes, mostly on the backsides of old canvas or ungrounded canvas.
